The University of Akron Athletics
Hall of Fame
Formed in 1975, The University of Akron's Sports Hall of Fame recognizes student-athletes,
coaches and administrators who have distinguished themselves either by virtue
of their outstanding performance on or with a University intercollegiate athletic team.
Additionally honored are individuals who have given meritorious service
on behalf of University intercollegiate athletics and varsity letterwinners
who have had exceptional achievement in their occupational field.

To be eligible for UA’s Sports Hall of Fame, nominees must meet three criteria:
(1) Former Zips’ student-athlete with All-American and/or All-Conference accolades;
(2) Must have earned a bachelor’s degree; and
(3) Must be 10 years removed from eligibility expiration.
Coaches and athletics administrators with 10 years of service to UA are also eligible for Hall of Fame induction.
