Quarterback | Forward
A 10-time letterwinner (three in each football, basketball and track; one in baseball), Harold Frye was an All-Ohio Conference in both football (quarterback) and basketball (forward).
He serves as the 1929 football captain, helping the team to a 10-1 record. He was also teammate of Kenneth “Red” Cochrane,
Frye was the State record holder in javeline at 19.2 feet.
Following graduation, Frye became a successful head baseball coach (three straight conference titles 1954-55-56) and football and basketball assistant coach at Illinois State University.
