Climon Lee III earned four letters in basketball (1958-61) and four letters in track (1958-61).
A basketball co-captain in 1961, he earned All-Ohio Conference honors at guard in 1959 and All-State second team honors in 1961. Lee scored 1,193 points for a 12.6 point per game average. He led Akron to the Ohio Conference championship in 1958.
Also an Ohio Conference high and low hurdle champion in 1956, 1960 and 1961, Lee captured the NCAA Mideast Region hurdles champion in 1960 and 1961. He was the Ohio high hurdles champion in 1961, the Akron co-Athlete of the Year in 1960.
