Ariadna Ramos Gandia
AKRON, Ohio - Ariadna Ramos Gandia (Barcelona, Spain), a redshirt junior on the University of Akron women’s track and field team, was named the Zips’ Student-Athlete of the Week on May 9, presented by The University of Akron.
Ramos Gandia established a new Akron standard in the triple jump with a winning mark of 42-7.50 (12.99m) at the Campbell/Wright Invitational on Saturday, May 7.
The effort represented the 22nd-best mark nationally this spring.
