Erin Seiler, Softball
AKRON, Ohio – Akron softball's Erin Seiler (Bowling Green, Ohio) was named the Zips' Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by The University of Akron.
Seiler (11-8) turned in nine innings pitched this past weekend in a double-header against the Dayton Flyers.. Akron's ace in the circle held the opposing team to a .194 batting average and fanned six hitters.
In game two of the double-header, Seiler pitched her 13th complete game of the 2016 campaign while pitching a two-hitter with two K's and a lone walk.
The Zips host Youngstown State tomorrow, March 22, for the 2016 home opener at Lee Jackson field on the campus of the University of Akron.
