MAC Champs, Women's Swimming & DIving and Men's Track & Field
AKRON, Ohio– The members of Akron's women's Swimming & Diving team and men's Track & Field team have been named the Zips' Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by The University of Akron.
Over the weekend, Swimming and Diving captured its third consecutive Mid-American Conference Championship, a first in program history. The Zips broke numerous program records at the MAC's and set 11 new program-best times while winning three relays and five individual titles.
Track & Field also won its third consecutive indoor MAC Championship, a first in program history. The Zips won five individual titles, while the 4x400 relay set a new program-best time of 3:42.79.
