AKRON, Ohio -Â The University of Akron lacrosse team closes outs its 2024 campaign welcoming Youngstown State to InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field for a Senior Day showdown on Sunday (April 28) at 1 p.m.

SEVEN ZIPS TO PLAY IN FINAL MATCH AS A ZIP:
Akron will recognize 11 Zips on Senior Day prior to the squad's match with Youngstown State on Sunday (April 28). The group of Lillian Bowling (Louisville, Ky.), Jacqueline Glassey (Kildeer, Ill.), Alexi Hardy (Beavercreek, Ohio), Mackenzie Kirwan (Appleton, Wis.), Kaija Kunttu (Zionsville, Ind.), Sarah Rech (Gibsonia, Pa.) and Anjali Silverheels (Hamburg, N.Y.) will don the Blue and White one final time when Akron hosts the Penguins. Additionally, Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa.), Kelli Fortman (Cincinnati, Ohio), Chloe Herrera (Houston, Texas) and Antonia Trickett (Cleveland, Ohio) will be recognized as part of the 2024 senior class.
SCOUTING AKRON:
Freshman Sienna Hinchcliffe (Rochester, Minn.) leads the Zips in goals (32), points (44), shots (84) and shots on goal (65). Jacqueline Glassey directs the squad in assists (17), while Noelle Boyd has recorded a team-best 67 draw controls. Junior goalkeeper Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio) owns 89 saves and a team-high 36 ground balls, while sophomore GK Kylan Rhude (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) has added 40 stops on the campaign.

IN THE LATEST MAC RANKINGS:
• Sienna Hinchcliffe is ranked third in shots per tilt (5.60), fifth in goals per outing (2.13) and sixth in points (2.93) per contest.
• Jacqueline Glassey is ranked third in assists per tilt (1.13) and junior Bryanne Harner (Friendswood, Texas) is seventh in caused turnovers (1.00).
• Hannah Sanders is rated second in ground balls (2.77), sixth in saves per game (6.85) and in goals against average (13.29) and 10th in save percentage (.392).
• Noelle Boyd is ranked third in ground balls per contest (4.47), seventh in goals (1.93) and shots per outing (4.40), eighth points per game (2.73), and ninth in assists per match (0.80).

The Akron senior quartet of Noelle Boyd, Jacqueline Glassey, Alexi Hardy and Anjali Silverheels will serve as the Zips' captains for the 2024 campaign.

Akron is meeting Youngstown State for the seventh time in program history. The Penguins enter play versus Akron on Sunday at 0-15 on the campaign, including 0-5 in the Mid-American Conference, following an 18-11 setback versus Eastern Michigan on April 21. Freshman Lena Cox leads Youngstown State's offensive efforts pacing the squad in goals (25), assists (10), points (35), shots (60) and shots on goal (43). Freshman goalkeeper Paige Borkowski has collected 170 saves en route to posting a 17.83 goals against average. Youngstown State is led by first-year head coach Rob Harris, who owns a 0-15 ledger as a head coach for the Penguins and is 103-61 in 10 overall campaigns as a head coach.
