CLINTON, S.C. – The University of Akron freshman Sienna Hinchcliffe (Rochester, N.Y.) recorded a game-high four goals to propel the Zips to a 14-2 victory over Presbyterian College on Monday (March 11).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Hinchcliffe, seniors Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa.) and Jacqueline Glassey (Kildeer, Ill.) along with sophomore Kellen Fletcher (Valenica, Pa.) directed Akron's offensive performance tallying four, three, two and two goals, respectively.
• Tallying one goal apiece for the Zips was freshman Presley Call (Delaware, Ohio), sophomore Heather Carey (Williamsville, N.Y.) and junior Graceann Schwab (Rochester, N.Y.).
• Call netted her first career points as a Zip with a goal and an assist in the affair.
• Boyd and freshman Kaitlyn Sikorski (Plymouth, Minn.) each garnered a game-high two assists in the contest, while Call, Fletcher, Glassey and Hinchcliffe were each credited with an assist.
• Hinchcliffe registered a game- and career-high nine shots for the Zips, including eight shots on net.
• Sophomore Katie Baumer (Rochester, N.Y.) and Boyd tallied five and four draw controls, respectively, while senior Alexi Hardy (Beavercreek, Ohio) logged a team-best two caused turnovers.
• Junior goalkeeper Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio) and sophomore goalkeeper Kylan Rhude (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) recorded seven and two saves, respectively, in the match.
