AKRON, Ohio -Â The University of Akron lacrosse team travels to Olean, N.Y., this Saturday, Feb. 25, for a 3 p.m. showdown at St. Bonaventure.
SCOUTING AKRON:
Senior Alexis Kiefer (West Chicago, Ill.) and junior Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa.), who have posted 20 and 16 shots, respectively, headline Akron's offensive efforts this season. Boyd, Kiefer and senior Kaija Kunttu (Zionsville, Ind.), have recorded a team-high nine, six and five goals, respectively, while Kiefer has registered team-best marks in goals (9), points (9), shots (20), shots on goal (18) and draw controls (14), while ranking second in caused turnovers (2). Freshman GK Kylan Rhude (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and sophomore GK Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio) have combined to turn in 17 saves for Akron on the year.

Boyd ranks second in shots per tilt (8.00) and fifth in goals per game (3.00) and points per contest (4.00), while Kunttu is sixth in goals per game (2.50).

Akron is squaring off against St. Bonaventure for the fourth in program history. The Bonnies own an 0-3 record on the campaign following a 16-13 setback at Arizona State on Saturday, Feb. 18. Jessica Notaro directs the St. Bonaventure offensive attack with team-high marks in goals (8) and points (9), while ranking second in shots (10) and shots on goal (8). Abby Hiltz has posted team-best totals in assists (4). Goalkeeper Ashley Herrick has collected 35 saves on the campaign for the Bonnies.
