SCOUTING MIAMI
Miami enters action versus Akron on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 11-17 on the campaign, including a 6-9 record in the Mid-American Conference, following an 88-67 triumph over Northern Illinois on Feb. 22.
The RedHawks are led by the trio of sophomore G Ivy Wolf, senior G Peyton Scott and sophomore G Maddi Cluse, who are averaging 16.6, 15.6 and 14.9 points per game, respectively, with Cluse pulling down a team-best 7.9 rebounds per contest. As a unit, Miami is recording 69.9 points, 35.4 rebounds, 13.0 assists, 6.5 steals and 2.5 blocks per game.
As a team, Miami is rated 37th in the NCAA in free throw percentage (.765) and 40th in free throws made per contest (14.43). Individually, Wolf is rated fifth in the NCAA in free throw percentage (.910), while Cluse ranks third in triple doubles (1).

Led by a career-high 26 points from senior G Dominique Camp (Dayton, Ohio), Akron earned a come-from-behind 77-66 road victory over Miami on Jan. 7 at Millett Hall.
Trailing by as many as 10 points in the opening quarter, the Zips outscored the RedHawks over the final period, 23-16, to extend their winning streak to six games.
Camp led four Zips scoring in double figures, while sophomore F Reagan Bass (Strongsville, Ohio), redshirt junior G Layne Ferrell (Franklin, Ohio) and senior F Molly Neitzel (Rocky River, Ohio) added 21-, 15- and 12-point performances towards Akron's triumph on the afternoon.
The Zips finished the contest shooting 44.2 percent from the field, including more than 47 percent (.474) over the final three quarters. Miami concluded its efforts on the day connecting on 39.1 percent of its attempts.
Ivy Wolf led four RedHawks scoring in double figures with a team-high 17 points, to go along with 16, 14 and 13 tallies, respectively, from Maddi Cluse, Sierra Morrow and Peyton Scott.
ZIPS BATTLE TOLEDO DOWN TO THE WIRE
Behind a balanced offensive attack powered by red-shot long distance shooting, Akron battled league-leading Toledo to the final buzzer before falling, 80-76, on Wednesday evening.
Reagan Bass led all scorers with 24 points, while Layne Ferrell tallied 17 and Dominique Camp notched 10 for Akron. Ferrell also posted a career-best eight assists and zero turnovers in the affair.
Akron made a season-high 14 three-pointers and shot 48.3 percent on triples and 47.3 percent overall against a tough Toledo defense that entered the game ranked second in the MAC in points allowed per game.
Sophia Wiard topped Toledo with 20 points and the Rockets also got 19 from Jayda Jensen.
AKRON QUARTET TO BE HONORED ON SENIOR NIGHT
The Zips' contest versus Miami on Saturday, Feb. 25, will mark the final regular season home games in the careers of seniors Dominique Camp, Rachel Martindale and Molly Neitzel along with redshirt junior Layne Ferrell.
Camp has appeared in all 26 games this season in her lone year at Akron, including 25 starts, averaging 10.4 points, 3.6 assists and 3.0 rebounds per contest.
A trio of four-year members of the Akron women's basketball program, Ferrell, Martindale and Neitzel have appeared in 76, 90 and 90 games as Zips, respectively, including 59, 29 and 32 starts. The threesome has averaged 7.3, 6.1 and 5.9 points per outing entering play against Miami en route to netting 557, 547 and 531 career points. Defense has been the key to Akron's success this season as the Zips have held opponents to under 40 percent shooting from the floor in 14 of 26 contests and 60 points or less in nine games.
Akron leads the Mid-American Conference in defensive rebounding (29.0), three point defense (.299) and blocked shots (4.38), while ranking second in field goal percentage defense (.389) and fourth in rebounding (37.2).

Akron has once proved to be strong in the paint through 26 games this season averaging 28.7 points per contest for 746 total points. The Zips posted a season-best 66 points in the paint in a 101-46 victory over Point Park on Dec. 2.
HOME COOKING
Inside the friendly confines of James A. Rhodes Arena, the Zips have seen a lot of success over the course of the past 18 seasons. When playing on its home court, Akron owns a 127-80 record dating back to the 2004-05 campaign.
This season, the Zips are 10-5 in the JAR, averaging 72.3 points per tilt and connecting on more than 44 percent (.441) of their attempts from the field, while recording 39.2 rebounds, 16.7 assists, 87.8 steals and 4.2 blocks per game.
Individually, Reagan Bass, Molly Neitzel, Dominique Camp and Layne Ferrell are enjoying playing on their home court this season averaging double-figures inside James A. Rhodes Arena owning a 17.5, 12.4, 11.1 and 10.8 points per game, respectively.
