Akron and Bowling Green are meeting for the 69th time in program history, with the Falcons owning a 56-12 series edge. Earlier this season, Akron took down the Falcons at home, 79-69. Jordyn Dawson recorded the program's second triple-double in history with 26 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Dawson had plenty of help offensively, as freshman forward Reagan Bass (Strongsville, Ohio) (12 points) sophomore guard Annika Corcoran (Painesville, Ohio)(11) and junior forward Lonasia Brewer (Akron, Ohio) (11) all scored in double figures for Akron.

The Zips fell to 13-9 overall and 10-6 MAC after dropping a heartbreaker to Ohio, 69-66 on Monday night. With the two sides neck and neck, a 5-0 burst by Ohio gave the visitors a 59-55 edge with 5:11 remaining before Akron countered with a 9-0 run of its own, keyed by clutch 3-pointers by junior guard Rachel Martindale (Pittsburgh, Pa,) and sophomore guard Annika Corcoran (Painesville, Ohio) . However, Ohio was able to regain control of the game, outscoring Akron 10-0 to turn a five-point deficit into a five-point lead with six seconds remaining before a Reagan Bass (Strongsville, Ohio) jumper at the buzzer left the hosts down by three to close out the game.

Jordyn Dawson (Huntington, W Va.) led the Zips with 22 points and 15 rebounds, notching her 11th double-double of the season and scoring in double scoring in double figures for the 16th straight game while surpassing 20 points for the ninth consecutive outing. Dawson added seven assists to further stuff the stat sheet.

The Falcons, stand 13-12 overall and 8-8 in conference play under the direction of 4th-year head coach Robyn Fralick after earning an 77-67 victory over Kent State on Monday. Sophomore Nyla Hampton scored 12 of her career-high 23 points in the fourth quarter, while Kenzie Lewis had a season-high 11 points, while senior Madisen Parker added 10 for the Falcons. BGSU shot 51.8 percent on the night, including a 14-of-24 effort (58.3%) in the second half. The Falcons scored 44 of their 77 points in the paint and attempted only 12 three-pointers, making five for a long-range success rate of 41.7%.

BG is averaging 73.1points per game on 45.1percent shooting (642-1422) from the floor and 193-512 shooting (37.7 percent) from long range, ranking second in the MAC. The Falcons have a four players averaging in double-figures. Kadie Hempfling leads the Falcons with 11.1 points per game.
