Dayton enters its contest at Akron this Sunday, Nov. 13, at 0-2 on the campaign on the heels of a 74-70 overtime setback versus Illinois State on Thursday, Nov. 10. on the heels of
Redshirt junior G Destiny Bohanon headlines Dayton averaging 19.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, while redshirt junior F Maliya Perry is pulling down a team-best 10.5 rebounds per outing. As a unit, the Flyers are registering 65.0 points, 44.0 rebounds, 11.5 assists, 6.5 steals and 4.5 blocks per outing.
Bohanon is rated ninth in the NCAA in field goal attempts (34), 11th in minutes played (41.54), 12th in field goals (15), 18th in three pointers (6), 22nd in points (38), while Perry is ranked fifth in double doubles (1) and 14th in rebounds (21). Additionally, senior F Mariah Perez is 31st in blocks (4).

Akron and Dayton are meeting for the 10th time in program history, with the Flyers owning a 8-1 series edge following a 77-74 victory by the Zips on Dec. 6, 2020.

Akron extended its season-opening win streak to three as the Zips shot 47.4 percent from the field en route to earning a 77-74 triumph at Dayton on Dec. 6, 2020 at UD Arena.
After seeing the Flyers score the first basket of the game, Colleen Neitzel connected on the first of 13 three-pointers for Akron on the afternoon as the Zips never trailed the balance of the contest to garner their first-ever victory past Dayton in program history.
Jordyn Dawson directed a trio of Zips scoring in double figures with a 26-point, nine-rebound and five-assist performance. Neitzel poured in a career-high 18 points, on 6-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc.
Erin Whalen highlighted Dayton's offensive production with a team-high 26 points, while Jenna Giacone added 16 points.
Akron was able to parlay a strong shooting performance into a win over the defending Atlantic-10 Conference champion Flyers. The Zips were 27-of-57 (.471) from the field, including hitting 13-of-25 shots (52 percent) from distance, while sealing the game away going 10-for-13 from the free throw line.
Dayton finished the afternoon shooting nearly 41 percent (.406) from the floor, while going 6-of-21 from downtown. The Flyers were 16-of-26 at the charity stripe.
BASS GARNERS PRESEASON ALL-MAC ACCOLADES
University of Akron women's basketball sophomore Reagan Bass (Strongsville, Ohio) was tabbed a preseason Second-Team All-Mid-American Conference selection when the league unveiled its 2022-23 Women's Basketball Preseason Coaches' Poll on Oct. 27.
On the strength of her breakout rookie campaign a season ago, Bass was tabbed Honorable Mention All-MAC and All-Freshman team honoree after playing in 26 games, including 25 starts, leading the Zips' offensive attack in the paint averaging 12.0 points per game, while ranking third in the league posting 1.19 blocks per game.
Bass scored a career-best 23-points against Eastern Michigan, while bringing down a career-high 13 rebounds at Wake Forest. Bass recorded a career-high four blocks against Western Michigan, while recording two or more blocks in seven games. Bass finished the season with 17 double-figure games.
