Bowling Green Triumphs Past Akron Women's Soccer

AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to Bowling Green (4-4-3, 2-1-2 MAC), the defending Mid-American Conference champions, in a league showdown at FirstEnergy Stadium on Thursday, Oct. 6.
Kennedy White garnered a hat trick for the Falcons posting tallies in the 25th (24:29), 32nd (31:23) and 52nd (51:48) minutes, respectively.
The Zips (1-7-2, 0-5-0 MAC) were directed on the evening by two shots apiece from junior Merica Abnathy (Lakeland, Fla.), sophomore Ella Hadley (Concord, Ohio) and freshman Emma King (Akron, Ohio).
Sophomore GK Penelope Cuirinier (Mionnay, France) pulled in a game-high nine saves for Akron in the affair.
