AKRON, Ohio – The University Akron football team practiced for about three hours inside Stile Athletics Field House on Thursday dressed in half pads.
After practice first-year head coach Terry Bowden spoke with the media.
Today was the 11th of 15 practices allowed by the NCAA leading up to the team's annual Spring Game presented by Penn Station (located at 270 E. Exchange Street in Akron). The game will be played on Saturday, April 21 at 3 p.m. ET at InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field. The squad will take to the field on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays prior to that event.
Akron opens the 2012 regular season on Thursday, Aug. 30 at home versus UCF.
Zips Notebook: The UA football program will play host to its third-annual Youth Clinic at 1 p.m. ET on April 21 prior to the Spring Game inside InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field ...
