Zips Open 2026 Spring Practice

AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron football program, under the leadership of fourth-year head coach Joe Moorhead, kicked off the first of 15 spring practices on Tuesday, March 17 at the Stile Athletics Field House.
The team will practice Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays throughout the spring. Practices are closed to the public.
The Zips' annual Spring Game is slated for Saturday, April 25.
Akron will kick off its 2026 campaign on Thursday, Sep. 3 at Wake Forest followed by the home opener at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field on Saturday, Sep. 12 vs Robert Morris. The Zips wrap-up the non-conference portion of the schedule at Minnesota (Saturday, Sep. 19) and at UNLV (Saturday, Sep. 26).

Chima Athletics Ticket Office at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field (located at 375 E. Exchange Street, near Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the venue, at the corner of E. Exchange and S. Union streets) Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
