AKRON, Ohio -Â The University of Akron lacrosse team travels to Mount Pleasant, Mich., for a showdown with league-leading Central Michigan on Sunday (April 21) at 12 p.m.
SCOUTING AKRON:
Freshman Sienna Hinchcliffe (Rochester, Minn.) leads the Zips in goals (32), points (43), shots (77) and shots on goal (61). Senior Jacqueline Glassey (Kildeer, Ill.) directs the squad in assists (167), while senior Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa.) has recorded a team-best 64 draw controls. Junior goalkeeper Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio) owns 89 saves and a team-high 36 ground balls, while sophomore GK Kylan Rhude (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) has added 33 stops on the campaign.

• Sienna Hinchcliffe is ranked fourth in shots per tilt (5.50) and fifth in points (3.07) and in goals per outing (2.29).
• Senior Jacqueline Glassey (Kildeer, Ill.) is ranked second in assists per tilt (1.21) and junior Bryanne Harner (Friendswood, Texas) is seventh in caused turnovers (1.00), while freshman Kaitlyn Sikorski (Plymouth, Minn.) is rated 10th in assists per game (0.79).
• Hannah Sanders is rated second in ground balls (2.77), sixth in saves per game (6.85) and in goals against average (13.29) and 10th in save percentage (.392).

The Akron senior quartet of Noelle Boyd, Jacqueline Glassey, Alexi Hardy (Beavercreek, Ohio) and Anjali Silverheels (Hamburg, N.Y.) will serve as the Zips' captains for the 2024 campaign.

Akron is meeting Central Michigan for the sixth time in program history. The Chippewas enter play versus Akron on Sunday at 4-11 on the campaign, including 4-0 in the Mid-American Conference, following a 16-7 victory at Eastern Michigan on April 14. Junior Skye Deprado leads Central Michigan's offensive efforts pacing the squad in goals (31), points (35), shots (67) and shots on goal (48). Junior goalkeeper Alexa Martel has collected 167 saves en route to posting a 14.73 goals against average. Central Michigan is led by second-year head coach Emilia Ward, who owns a 14-20 ledger as a head coach for the Chippewas and is 32-76 in seven overall campaigns as a head coach.
