AKRON, Ohio -Â The University of Akron lacrosse team welcomes Detroit Mercy to InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field for a 1 p.m. tilt on Sunday (April 14).
SCOUTING AKRON:
Freshman Sienna Hinchcliffe (Rochester, Minn.) leads the Zips in goals (30), points (39), shots (74) and shots on goal (59). Senior Jacqueline Glassey (Kildeer, Ill.) directs the squad in assists (16), while senior Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa.) has recorded a team-best 60 draw controls. Junior goalkeeper Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio) owns 89 saves and a team-high 36 ground balls, while sophomore GK Kylan Rhude (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) has added 22 stops on the campaign.

• Sienna Hinchcliffe is ranked fourth in goals (2.31) and shots per tilt (5.69) and fifth in points per outing (2.85).
• Freshman Kaitlyn Sikorski (Plymouth, Minn.) is rated eighth in assists per game (0.85), while senior Jacqueline Glassey (Kildeer, Ill.) is ranked second in assists per tilt (1.23) and senior Antonia Trickett (Cleveland, Ohio) is 10th in ground balls per contest (1.77).

The Akron senior quartet of Noelle Boyd, Jacqueline Glassey, Alexi Hardy and Anjali Silverheels (Hamburg, N.Y.) will serve as the Zips' captains for the 2024 campaign.

Akron is meeting Detroit Mercy for the sixth time in program history. The Titans enter play versus Akron on Sunday at 3-10 on the campaign, including 2-2 in the Mid-American Conference, following a 12-9 setback against Eastern Michigan on April 7. Senior Cat Kopchia leads Detroit Mercy's offensive efforts pacing the squad in goals (42), points (46), shots (95) and shots on goal (68). Junior goalkeeper Meredith Leavell has collected 125 saves en route to posting a 13.92 goals against average. Detroit Mercy is led by first-year head coach Madeline Duggan, who owns a 3-10 ledger as a head coach for the Titans and is 23-57 in six overall campaigns as a head coach.
