AKRON, Ohio -Â The University of Akron lacrosse team resumes Mid-American Conference action welcoming Eastern Michigan to InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field for a 1 p.m. tilt on Sunday (March 24).
SCOUTING AKRON:
Freshman Sienna Hinchcliffe (Rochester, Minn.) leads the Zips in goals (23), points (31), shots (59) and shots on goal (45). Senior Jacqueline Glassey (Kildeer, Ill.) directs the squad in assists (13), while senior Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa.) has recorded a team-best 56 draw controls. Junior goalkeeper Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio) owns 77 saves and a team-high 33 ground balls, while sophomore GK Kylan Rhude (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) has added 22 stops on the campaign.

• Sienna Hinchcliffe is ranked fourth in shots per tilt (5.36), sixth in goals (2.09) and assists (1.00) per contest and seventh in points per outing (2.82).
• Freshman Kaitlyn Sikorski (Plymouth, Minn.) is rated sixth in assists per game (1.00), while Jacqueline Glassey is ranked fourth in assists per tilt (1.18).
• Senior Alexi Hardy (Beavercreek, Ohio) is ranked eighth in caused turnovers (1.00).
• Hannah Sanders is rated second in ground balls (3.00), sixth in saves per game (7.00) and in goals against average (13.19) and ninth in save percentage (.405).

ZIPS NAME QUARTET TEAM CAPTAINS FOR 2024:
The Akron senior quartet of Noelle Boyd, Jacqueline Glassey, Alexi Hardy and Anjali Silverheels (Hamburg, N.Y.) will serve as the Zips' captains for the 2024 campaign.

Akron is meeting Eastern Michigan for the second time in program history. The Eagles come into competition against Akron on Sunday at 3-4 on the campaign, including 0-0 in the Mid-American Conference, following a 15-4 setback at Marquette on March 17. Sophomore Mackenzie Blackwell leads Eastern Michigan's offensive efforts pacing the squad in goals (28), points (29), shots (42), shots on goal (37) and draw controls (35). Freshman goalkeeper Maddie Porter has collected 54 saves and a team-best 28 ground balls on the campaign en route to posting a 11.82 goals against average. Eastern Michigan is led by second-year head coach Sara Tisdale, who owns a 5-18 ledger as a head coach for the Eagles and is 110-81 in 12 overall campaigns as a head coach.
