Hinchcliffe's Golden Goal Propels Akron to 8-7 Victory Over Radford

AKRON, Ohio – A golden goal with 12 seconds remaining in the fourth overtime period from freshman Sienna Hinchcliffe (Rochester, N.Y.) lifted the Akron lacrosse team to an 8-7 triumph past Radford on Tuesday (March 19) at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Hinchcliffe scored a team-high two goals, while adding a pair of assists to power the Zips to the victory.
• Adding one goal apiece to the Akron offensive attack was senior Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa.), sophomores Heather Carey (Williamsville, N.Y.) and Kellen Fletcher (Valencia, Pa.), senior Anjali Silverheels (Hamburg, N.Y.) and sophomore Macy Vail (Joppatowne, Md.).
• Junior Jaelyn Clinkscales (Rochester, N.Y.), Hinchcliffe and junior Graceann Schwab (Rochester, N.Y.) collected two, two and one assist, respectively.
• Hinchcliffe registered a game-high 10 shots for the Zips, including eight shots on net.
• Juniors Bryanne Harner (Friendswood, Texas) and Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio) pulled in a team-best four ground balls each, while sophomore Katie Baumer (Rochester, N.Y.) notched three caused turnovers.
• Sanders and sophomore goalkeeper Kylan Rhude (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) each netted five saves for Akron.
