Softball Heads on the Road for a Pair of Non-Conference Games

AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zips softball team will head to Moon Township, Penn. for a doubleheader against Robert Morris University on Tuesday afternoon.

Scouting Robert Morris
Robert Morris comes into Tuesday 4-13 on the year and off a 1-2 series against Green Bay to open Horizon League play. The Colonials last game in the conference opener was a walk-off win off Charolette Grover's single in the bottom of the seventh inning to win 7-6 over Green Bay for their first home victory of the season. - The Zips have been a member of the Mid-American Conference for the past 31 years after joining the league in 1993 from the North Star Conference.
- Under second-year head coach Craig Nicholson, the Zips return 10 players from the 2023 squad and added 12 newcomers to the 2024 roster.
