AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron softball program home opener stands as the opening series for Mid-American Conference play against Toledo at Lee R. Jackson Field this weekend.

Akron and Toledo will open league play on Friday, March 15 with a 7-inning game beginning at 3 p.m. followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, March 16 with first pitch being thrown at 1 p.m.
