AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron lacrosse team dropped an 18-3 decision to Ohio State on Sunday (Feb. 18) at Stile Athletics Field House.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Sophomore Heather Carey (Williamsville, N.Y.), junior Jaelyn Clinkscales (Rochester, N.Y.) and freshman Sienna Hinchcliffe (Rochester, N.Y.) led the Zips with a goal apiece in the affair.
• Hinchcliffe paced Akron with a team-high five shots, including two on goal.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Kylan Rhude (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) led the Zips with a team-best four ground balls, while sophomore Dani Dahl (Fairfax, Va.) and senior Antonia Trickett (Cleveland, Ohio) added two caused turnovers each to go along with a trio of ground balls from junior Kylie Harris (Lake Norman, N.C.).
• Rhude and sophomore Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio) posted seven and four saves for Akron, respectively.

Akron travels to Pittsburgh, Pa., for a 4 p.m. match at Duquesne on Feb. 27.
