DAVIS, Calif. – The University of Akron lacrosse team dropped a 20-7 decision at UC Davis on Sunday (Feb. 11).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Senior Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa.) opened the scoring for the Zips with a goal at the 10:05 mark off a successful free position shot.
• Sophomore Kellen Fletcher (Valencia, Pa.) netted the first of two goals on the afternoon with a second remaining in the first quarter. She later added a tally at the 4:01 mark of the third period off an assist from freshman Kaitlyn Sikorski (Plymouth, Minn.).
• Akron garnered goals in the second quarter from sophomores Macy Vail (Joppatowne, Md.) and Heather Carey (Williamsville, N.Y.) at the 13:25 and 5:45 marks, respectively.
• Sikorski collected her first collegiate goal at the 13:38 mark of the final period. She also added a trio of assists in the match.
• Junior Graceann Schwab (Rochester, N.Y.) capped the Zips' scoring efforts with a goal at the 12:03 mark of the fourth quarter.
• Junior Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio) recorded seven saves in net for Akron.

GAME NOTES:
• Fletcher led Akron with a team-high two goals, while Sikorski collected a trio of assists.
• Fletcher directed the Zips with a team-high five shots, all on goal.

UP NEXT:
Akron hosts St. Bonaventure in a 3 p.m. contest on Wednesday (Feb. 14).
