OXFORD, Ohio – The Akron Zips fell 10-0 in game two against the Miami RedHawks on Saturday at McKie Field at Hayden Park.
The Miami (18-31, 12-14 MAC) pitching limited AKRON (17-29, 9-17 MAC) to jus five hits as graduate 3B Nick Arrivo (Ann Arbor, Mich.) led the way with a 2-of-3 performance. Senior SS Kaito Hara (Houston, Texas) and junior IF Breydan Cavey (Medina, Ohio) registered doubles, while junior IF Max Bowman (Gahanna, Ohio) issued a base hit.
The RedHawks used nine hits coupled with five Akron fielding errors to score 10 runs, plating two runs in the first, third and fifth innings while notching three runs in the fourth and one in the seventh.
