AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision on Senior Day to Miami on Sunday (Oct. 22) at FirstEnergy Stadium.
How it Happened
Both sides battled through a scoreless opening half before the RedHawks netted a pair of second-half goals en route to the triumph.
Freshman GK Sara Bower (Cincinnati, Ohio) led Akron with six saves. The Zips recorded three shots in the loss, one of them on goal. Akron faced 15 Miami shots, eight of them on goal.
