AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron women's soccer team wraps up its home campaign welcoming Miami to FirstEnergy Stadium on Senior Day for a 1 p.m. matinee affair on Sunday (Oct. 22).

PARKING UPDATE

The Zips' contest versus Miami on Sunday (Oct. 22) will mark the final regular season home games in the careers of Katharina Bilz (Huenstetten Wallbach, Germany), Bailee Bowers (Dublin, Ohio), Clara Knoepke (Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany), Sarah Nguyen (Irwin, Pa.), Morgan Pentz (Broadview Heights, Ohio) and Katie Stafford (Gahanna, Ohio).
Bilz has appeared in 45 contests as a Zip, including 39 starts, en route to recording eight shots, with four strikes falling on net.
Bowers has played in 67 games at Akron, including 55 starts, registering three goals on 18 shots, including eight shots on goal.
Knoepke has appeared in 14 contests for Akron, including four starts.
Nguyen has appeared in 53 contests for the Zips, including 50 starts, en route to registering a goal and seven assists on 39 shots, with 16 strikes coming on net.
Pentz has appeared in 47 contests at Akron, including 26 starts, and has tallied four goals on 41 shots, with 23 strikes falling on goal.
Stafford has started all 58 contests in which she has appeared in for the Zips and has registered seven goals and three assists on 27 shots, with 14 strikes coming on net.

The Zips come into their showdown versus Miami on Sunday (Oct. 22) at 3-12-1 on the campaign, including 1-7-1 in the Mid-American Conference, after earning a 2-1 victory at Eastern Michigan on Oct. 19.
Morgan Pentz leads the Zips in goals (4) and points (8), while sophomore Emma King (Akron, Ohio) owns a team-high totals in shots (29), shots on goal (15) and game-winners (1). Additionally, King, Pentz and Katie Stafford have recorded three, two and two goals, respectively for the Zips. Juniors Caitlin Bruni (Canal Fulton, Ohio), Ella Hadley (Concord, Ohio) and Laurie-Anne Renaud (Quebec City, Quebec) along with freshmen Anna Simmons (Manassas, Va.) and Rachel Wenzel (Akron, Ohio) have each tallied an assist. Freshman Sara Bower (Cincinnati, Ohio) has pulled in 53 saves for Akron.
The Zips under the leadership of second-year head coach Jen Simonetti return 10 starters in 2023, including 2022 All-Mid-American Conference performers, Hadley and King, who garnered Second-Team All-MAC and MAC All-Freshman Team accolades.
