Four Zips Garner Academic All-MAC Women’s Basketball Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio- The Akron women's basketball team earned four selections when the Mid-American Conference released its 2021-22 Women's Basketball Academic All-MAC Team on Tuesday afternoon.
In all, 69 student-athletes from 12 conference institutions were honored including redshirt sophomore Layne Ferrell (Franklin, Ohio), junior Rachel Martindale (Pittsburgh, Ohio), junior Molly Neitzel (Rocky River, Ohio), and senior Kendall Miller (Akron, Ohio).
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
