Zips Head to Youngstown State for Tuesday Double Header

AKRON, Ohio- The Akron Zips softball team returns to action with a mid-week doubleheader at Youngstown State on Tuesday, March 14. The first pitch of the twinbill is slated for 3 p.m.

Akron returns from a weekend trip to Nashville, Tenn. as the Zips competed in the Bruin Classic hosted by Belmont University. Akron fell in a pair of games to Bradley and closed out the tournament with a 13-5 setback against Belmont.

Angela Cirone (Louisville, Ohio) led the Zips' bats this weekend, recording four hits, while Jaiden Bryant (Hilliard, Ohio) had a three-hit game against Bradley on Sunday.
