Bowling Green comes into play on Monday, Oct. 17, at 3-4-4 on the campaign, including a 1-1-1 record in the Mid-American Conference, following a 3-0 victory at Chicago State on Thursday, Oct. 13.
Sophomore Alberto Anaya leads the Falcons in goals (3), points (9), shots on goal (11) and game-winners (2), while ranking second in assists (3) and shots (25). Junior GK Brendan Graves has pulled in 26 saves en route to posting a 0.64 goals against average and four shutouts.
As a team, the Falcons are ranked 11th in the NCAA i in goals against average (.636), 16th in save percentage (.816) and 39th in shots per game (14.36).
Individually, Graves is rated 17th in goals against average (.636), 37th in shutouts (4) and 41st in save percentage (.788), while Anaya is 41sth in game-winning goals (2).

The 19th-rated University of Akron men's soccer team was poised to garner a key Mid-American Conference victory in their road showdown with Bowling Green before a late goal by the Falcons resulted in a 1-1 draw on Oct. 6 in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Dyson Clapier gave Akron an early 1-0 advantage scoring his team-leading sixth goal of the season off an assist from Ashton Kamdem at the 10:38 mark. The tally marked the third consecutive contest in which Clapier has netted a goal for the Zips.
Akron maintained the lead until Andrew Shaffer scored the equalizer in the 71st minute (70:09) for Bowling Green.
The Falcons posted a 10-9 edge in shots on the night, with Akron earning a 4-3 advantage in shots on goal.
Jason Shokalook collected a game- and team-high five shots in the match, while junior Josef Paulus (Hinckley, Ohio) added a pair of shots. GK Mitch Budler tallied a pair of save for Akron.

Since 2007, the Akron men's soccer program has posted the highest winning percentage in the nation (.748), with an overall record of 231-65-39. The Zips are followed by Wake Forest, 220-70-38 (.729), Maryland, 218-68-48 (.725), North Carolina, 208-74-49 (.702) and Creighton, 203-82-36 (.688). Akron made 12 straight appearances in the NCAA Tournament (2007-18), earning a first-round bye in eight seasons. The Zips have advanced to the NCAA's Round of 16 in eight of their last 12 NCAA Tournament appearances. Since 1961, the Zips have advanced to the NCAA postseason 34 times, including 18 of the past 21 seasons.
