Akron Zips Golf to Host 2021 MAC Women’s Golf Championship at Silver Lake Country Club

AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zips women's golf team is set to host the 2021 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championships on Friday and Saturday, April 23-24 at Silver Lake Country Club in Silver Lake, Ohio.
Spectators are welcome to attend the championship and MUST follow posted COVID-19 course guidelines which include properly wearing masks.
The 2021 MAC women's golf championships is scheduled for 54-holes of competition over a two-day span, starting on Friday, April 23 at the par 72, 6,277-yard course. The opening round of the season finale is slated for a 10 a.m. shotgun start with continuous play through 36 holes. Saturday's final round is scheduled for tee times off holes No. 1 and 10 starting at 8:30 a.m. with 10-minute intervals. The 10-team field is headlined by Kent State with a No. 13 GolfStat ranking followed by Northern Illinois (113), Akron (158), Ball State (161), Central Michigan (188), Eastern Michigan (191), Toledo (192), Bowling Green (197), Ohio (203) and Western Michigan (211).
The Zips' starting five includes freshman Jennifer David (Hudson, Ohio), freshman Jessica Hahn (Canton, Ohio), sophomore Ivana Shah (Mumbai, India), sophomore Jacinta Pikunas (Youngstown, Ohio) and junior Abbie Pearce (Green, Ohio).
Akron is scheduled to start the round on holes No. 1-4 with Hahn (1A), David (1B), Shah (2), Pikunas (3) and Pearce (4).
