Zips Golf Opens 2026 MAC Championships

AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zips women's golf team is set to compete for the 2026 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championships on Sunday through Tuesday, April 26-28 hosted by Kent State at the Firestone Country Club. 
The 2026 MAC women's golf championships is scheduled for 54-holes of competition over the three-day span, starting on Sunday, April 26 at the par 70, 6,137-yard course.
The opening round and Monday's second round of the MAC season finale are slated for an 9 a.m. starts with tee times in 10 minute intervals. Sunday's final round is scheduled for tee times off holes No. 1 at 9 a.m. with 10-minute intervals, respectively.

The 10-team field is headlined by Eastern Michigan with a No. 19 SCOREBOARD powered by clippd ranking followed by Kent State (28), Ball State (141), Bowling Green (156), Northern Illinois (175), Akron (183), Western Michigan (195), Ohio (206), Central Michigan (208) and Toledo (216).
The Zips' starting lineup includes seniors Maisarah Hezri (Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia), Hridhika Vora (Mumbai, Maharashtra), sophomores Kaitlin Kormuth (Solon, Ohio) and Sohniya Chandra Mohan (Selangor, Malaysia) as well as freshman Kirida Goethe Na Songkhla (Bangkok, Thailand). In addition, senior Emily Liptak (Akron, Ohio) is slated as an alternate.
First round tee times for Akron are as follows: Na Songkhla (9:00 a.m.), Vora (9:10 a.m.), Kormuth (9:20 a.m.), Chandra Mohan (9:30 a.m.) and Hezri (9:40 a.m.).
