Seven Zips Garner Academic All-MAC WBB Honors

2020-21 ACADEMIC ALL-MAC WBB RELEASE
CLEVELAND, Ohio -Â The University of Akron women's basketball team earned seven selections when the Mid-American Conference released its 2020-21 Women's Basketball Academic All-MAC teams on Wednesday, April 21.

In all, 60 student-athletes from five conference institutions were honored including juniors Gabrielle Brown-Mitchell (Solon, Ohio), Kendall Miller (Akron, Ohio) and Colleen Neitzel (Rocky River, Ohio), sophomores Rachel Martindale (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Molly Neitzel (Rocky River, Ohio) and redshirt freshmen Layne Ferrell (Franklin, Ohio) and Emma Tecca (Tallmadge, Ohio).
To qualify for the Academic All-MAC Teams, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the scheduled contests and/or completed at the league championship in the particular sport.
