PRIOR TO AKRON: A native of South Bend, Ind., Mitchell, a 5-11 guard/forward, arrived at Akron having played for South Bend Washington High School. A four-year letterwinner and all-conference performer, she helped her squad capture the 2021-22 state title as a freshman. Mitchell, who is ranked No. 160 nationally and 28th at her position by Collegiate Girls Basketball Report, enters her senior campaign averaging 11.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per contest. She twice competed in the Core Indiana All-Star Game.
