Make an IMPACT Statement

There are several ways you can begin to make an IMPACT on Zips Athletics.

Has Zips Athletics made an IMPACT on your life? Then share that story with us by visiting our IMPACT 2020 Feedback page (Click Here). Want to send us a video to be included on the "Who We Impact" page? send it via email to: akronathletics@gmail.com.

Are you on Facebook or Twitter? Making an IMPACT on Zips Athletics can be as easy as posting a status. Join us by making the statement "I will make an IMPACT on Zips Athletics. #ZipsIMPACT" on your Facebook and Twitter accounts. Encourage your followers to do the same. By increasing the awareness for all 19 athletics programs at Akron, you are making an IMPACT.

Attend Zips Athletics Events

From August to May, Zips Athletics plays host to hundreds of sporting events across 19 sponsored sports. From 1-on-1 competitions to multi-team tournaments, each of Akron's teams showcase their skills.

Join the Z-Fund

The Z-Fund is the fund-raising organization of Akron Athletics and provides financial support for all athletic scholarships, academic affairs, summer school, facilities, and operational needs of the athletics department. Donors to the Z-Fund include former student-athletes, parents, alumni, fans, friends, and businesses that recognize the value of the intercollegiate athletics experience and enthusiastically provide support in a variety of ways.

The Z-Fund is dedicated to maintaining a championship level athletics program at The University of Akron. Through the generosity of loyal donors our goals are to:

Fully endow the maximum number of scholarships that the NCAA allows for its 19 varsity teams.
Fully support the operational expenses of the Academic Affairs program to provide individualized academic support to all student-athletes.
Provide summer school opportunities for student-athletes.
Support the operational needs of the athletics program that include recruiting costs, team travel, equipment and athletic training.
Raise funds for the renovation of existing facilities and all new athletics facilities.

In 2013, the Z-Fund launched its "Drive for 5" Campaign with the goal of building its membership to 5,000 members and raising $5 million annually by 2015. To find out how you can help, visit the Z-Fund page (Click Here).

Rent Our Facilities

Are you planning an event and looking for a unique location to host it? Why not have it on campus in one of our athletics facilities?

The FirstMerit Foundation Club Level (fifth floor) and Towpath Credit Union Press Level (seventh floor) at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field has hosted numerous banquets, wedding receptions, meetings, press conferences,seminars, retreats and receptions.

Both levels provide a beautiful view of The University of Akron campus, as well as downtown Akron. You can arrange meals through University Dining Services, have Audio/Video Services set up the area to fulfill all your audio and video needs, and Parking Services can assist in all your parking needs in addition to the approximately 10,000 parking spaces withing walking distance of the stadium.

Become an Akron Student
