AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron track and field team recorded 10 top five performances to highlight the efforts of the Zips at a trio of meets on Saturday (Jan. 31).

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Junior Jordan Thompson-Seay (Bratenahl, Ohio) placed second in the men's high jump with a mark of 6-4.25 (1.94m) at the YSU Mid-Major Invitational.
• Junior AJ Jordan (Columbus, Ohio) finished second in the men's 200 meters in a time of 21.45 at the Penn State National.
• Sophomore Kaden Rambatt (Sharon, Wis.) eclipsed 16-5.25 (5.01m) to place third in the men's pole vault at the YSU Mid-Major Invitational.
• The women's 4x400 relay team of senior Vanessa Horn (Ludwigsfelde, Germany), sophomore Mariyah Moore (Cleveland, Ohio), senior McKenzie McNitt (Cleveland, Ohio) and freshman Jackline Nanjala (Kitale, Kenya) finished third in 3:41.04.

Akron returns to competition at the Doug Raymond Invitational and Windy City Invitational next Friday and Saturday (Feb. 6-7).
