AKRON, Ohio -Â The University of Akron lacrosse team travels to St. Charles, Mo., for a showdown with Lindenwood on Saturday (March 8) at 1 p.m. ET, before visiting Lawrenceville, N.J., to square off against Rider at 3 p.m. on Wednesday (March 12).

ZIPS NAME TRIO TEAM CAPTAINS FOR 2025:
The Akron senior trio of Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa.), Jaelyn Clinkscales (Rochester, N.Y.) and Bryanne Harner (Friendswood, Texas) will serve as the Zips' captains for the 2025 campaign.
SCOUTING AKRON:
Sophomore Sienna Hinchcliffe (Rochester, Minn.) leads the Zips in goals (22), points (28), shots (49) and shots on goal (35). Noelle Boyd paces the squad in draw controls (32), while ranking third in ground balls (11). Junior Katie Baumer (Rochester, N.Y.) directs the team in assists (8). Senior goalkeeper Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio) has registered 41 saves and a team-high 20 ground balls.

Akron is meeting Lindenwood for the second time in program history. The Lions enter their showdown with the Zips at 4-1 on the campaign following a 14-11 victory at Kent State on March 2. Junior Luci Selander leads Lindenwood's offensive efforts pacing the squad in goals (18), assists (5), points (23), shots (45) and shots on goal (34). Redshirt senior goalkeeper Aislinn Sweeney has collected 63 saves and 10 ground balls on the campaign en route to posting a 11.33 goals against average. Lindenwood is led by 14th-year head coach Jack Cribbin, who owns a 203-42 ledger as a head coach for the Lions.

Akron dropped a 14-7 non-conference decision to Lindenwood on March 6, 2024, at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Redshirt seniors Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa.) and Anjali Silverheels along with Sienna Hinchcliffe directed Akron's offensive attack with two goals apiece, while Macy Vail rounded out the Zips' scoring efforts with a goal.
• Jaelyn Clinkscales earned a game-high two assists in the affair, while Jacqueline Glassey and Boyd were each credited with an assist.
• Hinchcliffe and junior Kellen Fletcher (Valencia, Pa.) registered four and three shots, respectively, for the Zips.
• Boyd added a team-best three draw controls, while Bryanne Harner and goalkeeper Hannah Sanders both pulled in two ground balls.
• Sanders and Kylan Rhude combined to notch eight saves in the match.

Redshirt junior Katie Walsh leads Rider's offensive efforts pacing the squad in goals (18), points (22), shots on goal (27), ground balls (10) and draw controls (39). Redshirt junior goalkeeper Jamie Kubach owns 32 saves and a eight ground balls on the campaign en route to posting a 12.00 goals against average. Rider is led by second-year head coach Evan Mager, who owns an 11-12 ledger as a head coach for the Broncs and is 45-19 overall in five seasons as a head coach.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Hinchcliffe directed the Zips with a game-high three goals, while Boyd and Clinkscales each registered a pair of tallies.
• Katie Baumer, junior Heather Carey (Williamsville, N.Y.) and Kellen Fletcher along with freshman Julia Mattingly (Leonardstown, Md.) added a goal apiece.
• Baumer, Clinkscales and Mattingly directed Akron with two assists each, while also collecting assists was Fletcher and sophomore Kaitlyn Sikorski (Plymouth, Minn.).
