SCOUTING AKRON
Off to their best start since the 2015 campaign, the Zips look to extend their unbeaten streak to four to open the season following a 1-0 triumph past Wright State on Aug. 25.
Sophomore Anna Simmons (Manassas, Va.) netted the game-winning goal versus the Raiders in the 58th minute off an assist from freshman Kaitlyn Rogowski (Hilliard, Ohio) and senior Ella Hadley (Concord, Ohio).
Hadley, redshirt senior Morgan Pentz (Broadview Heights, Ohio), Simmons and sophomore Rachel Wenzel (Akron, Ohio) have accounted for the Zips' goals this season having netted two, one, one and one, respectively. Hadley, Pentz, Rogowski, sophomore Shani Sirota (Raanana, Israel) and Wenzel have recorded Akron's assists on the campaign. Hadley paces the squad in shots (13) and shots on goal (5), while redshirt junior GK Penelope Cuirinier (Mionnay, France) and sophomore Sara Bower (Cincinnati, Ohio) own eight and three saves, respectively, in net for Akron.
The Zips under the leadership of third-year head coach Jen Simonetti return nine starters in 2024, including senior team captains Katie Stafford (Gahanna, Ohio) and Pentz.
The Zips boast 11 newcomers to the squad as donning the Akron uniform this fall will be junior Kaylen Goddard (Mechanicsville, Md.), sophomore Kellyn Fausel (New Philadelphia, Ohio), Sirota, redshirt freshman Nadia Zaborowski (Noblesville, Ind.) and freshmen Kailyn Biecker (Wadsworth, Ohio), Addison Lambert (Galena, Ohio), Allie McMillen (Shreve, Ohio), Rogowski, Elisabeth Rupp (Eden Prairie, Minn.), Eesha Sutharshan (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Ariana Vakos (Avon, Ohio).

• The Zips are off to their best start to a campaign at 3-0-1 since the 2015 season, while recording the squad's initial four-game unbeaten streak since 2019.
• Four of the seven matches between Akron and Robert Morris have resulted in a shutout, with the Zips owning a 3-1-0 mark in those contests.
• The Zips have outscored Robert Morris, 13-7 all-time, including 6-2 in three road matches.

SCOUTING ROBERT MORRIS
Robert Morris enters action against Akron at 1-3-1 on the campaign following a 2-0 setback at West Virginia on Sunday (Sept. 1).
The Colonials are led by junior Paloma Swankler, who paces the team in goals (2), points (4), shots (10) and shots on goal (5). Redshirt senior GK Brenna Murray has pulled in 23 saves on the campaign and owns a 1.86 goals against average with one shutout.
SERIES HISTORY
Akron and Robert Morris are meeting for eighth time in program history with the Zips owning a 6-1 series advantage. The Colonials bested Akron, 3-0, in the most recent encounter between the schools on Aug. 24, 2023, at FirstEnergy Stadium.
