AKRON, Ohio - Akron went back and forth with the Toledo Rockets in the final game of the series, but fell 6-5 on Saturday.

In the batter's box, the Zips were led by Andrew Horvath, who went 1-for-3 on the day with a double and two RBI. Nicky Sackett put together a standout day at the dish as well, going 2-for-4 with a double. Max Bowman also chipped in for Akron, putting together one hit in three trips to the plate while adding a double and a walk.

Sean Perkins (1-1) came out of the bullpen for Akron (3-11, 0-3) and took the loss. Yassir Kahook came out of the pen as well and threw one scoreless inning, allowing one hit, with no walks and one strikeout.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Trailing 3-0, the Zips first put runs on the board in the fourth inning. Charlie Rhee's run-scoring single was the big hit in Akron's three-run inning.

The Rockets then scored two runs to retake their advantage heading into the sixth inning, when the Zips responded by getting back on the scoreboard themselves. Akron pushed across a run on Horvath's two-out RBI double, which brought the score to 5-4 in favor of the Rockets.

Akron held the Rockets off the board before rallying to even it up at five in the seventh. Toledo then scored one time over the remaining two innings to break the tie and grab the 6-5 win.

» Akron's highest scoring inning was the fourth, when it pushed three runs across.
» Akron pitchers faced 41 Toledo hitters in the game, allowing nine ground balls and nine fly balls while striking out seven.
