AKRON, Ohio -Â The University of Akron lacrosse team will be challenged by a trio of matches this upcoming week, including a home showdown with Lindenwood on Wednesday (March 6).

The Zips welcome Lindenwood to InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field for a 1 p.m. tilt on Wednesday before traveling for road matches at Gardner-Webb and Presbyterian on Saturday (March 9) and Monday (March 11) at 1 p.m. and 12 p.m., respectively.
SCOUTING AKRON:
Freshman Sienna Hinchcliffe (Rochester, Minn.) leads the Zips in goals (11), points (16), shots (23) and shots on goal (17). Freshman Kaitlyn Sikorski (Plymouth, Minn.) directs the squad in assists (7), while senior Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa.) has recorded a team-best 28 draw controls. Junior goalkeeper Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio) owns 47 saves and a team-high 21 ground balls, while sophomore GK Kylan Rhude (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) has added 13 stops on the campaign.

• Sienna Hinchcliffe is ranked fifth in goals per tilt (1.83), seventh in points (2.67) and shots per tilt (3.83) and ninth in assists per game (0.83).

ZIPS NAME QUARTET TEAM CAPTAINS FOR 2024:
The Akron senior quartet of Noelle Boyd, Jacqueline Glassey, Alexi Hardy and Anjali Silverheels (Hamburg, N.Y.) will serves as the Zips' captains for the 2024 campaign.

SCOUTING LINDENWOOD:
Akron is meeting Lindenwood for the first time in program history. The Lions come into competition against Akron on Wednesday at 5-1 on the campaign following a 18-11 triumph past Kent State on March 1. Redshirt senior Logann Eldredge leads Lindenwood's offensive efforts pacing the squad in goals (28), points (35), shots (53) and shots on goal (46), while ranking second in assists (7). Senior goalkeeper Haylie Sims has collected 42 saves and 14 ground balls on the campaign en route to posting a 9.00 goals against average. Lindenwood is led by 13th-year head coach Jack Cribbin, who owns a 191-37 ledger as a head coach for the Lions.

SCOUTING GARDNER-WEBB:
Akron is squaring off against Gardner-Webb for the fifth time in program history. The Bulldogs enter their showdown against UMass-Lowell on Wednesday (March 6) at 0-5 on the campaign following a 21-4 setback at Jacksonville on Saturday (March 2). Redshirt freshman Rebecca Ferrina directs Gardner Webb's offensive attack registering team-high marks in goals (9), while ranking second in points (9), shots (16) and shots on goal (11). Freshman goalkeeper Emma Anderson has recorded 41 saves and owns a 18.46 goals against average. Gardner-Webb is led by first-year head coach Kathleen Mirgon, who owns a 0-5 ledger as a head coach for the Bulldogs and is 10-29 in her third overall campaign as a head coach.

Akron is facing Presbyterian for the fifth time in program history. The Blue Hose enter their match against UMass-Lowell on Saturday (March 9) at 0-3 on the campaign following a 15-11 setback at Xavier on Feb. 25. Redshirt senior Abby Edmisten leads Presbyterian's offensive efforts pacing the squad in goals (6), points (8), shots (18), shots on goal (11), caused turnovers (2) and draw controls (8). Junior goalkeeper Naomi Lauderbaugh has collected 18 saves and five ground balls on the campaign en route to posting a 18.66 goals against average. Presbyterian is led by fifth-year head coach Eric Clakeley, who owns a 14-44 ledger as a head coach for the Blue Hose.
