2023-24 ALL-MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL AWARDS RELEASE
CLEVELAND, Ohio – University of Akron women's basketball junior F Reagan Bass (Strongsville, Ohio) garnered Second-Team All-Mid-American Conference women's basketball accolades when the league unveiled its 2023-24 award winners on Tuesday (March 12).
A First-Team All-MAC performer a season ago, Bass started all 29 of the Zips' games on the campaign en route to earning All-MAC recognition for the third time on the strength of posting team-high marks in scoring (16.4), rebounding (9.9), free throws made (135), free throws attempted (172) and blocks (22), while ranking second on the team in field goal percentage (.484), fourth in steals (27) and fifth in assists (33). She scored in double figures in 24 of 29 contests this season, including tallying 15 or more points in 17 games, and led the Zips in scoring and rebounding 21 and 24 times, respectively. In league-only affairs, she averaged 14.6 points and 9.5 rebounds, while shooting more than 48 percent (.484) from the field.
Bass averaged nearly a double-double scoring 16.41 points to go along with a conference-high 9.93 rebounds per contest. She also headlines the MAC in defensive rebounding (7.17), while rating third in scoring (16.41) and offensive rebounding (2.76), fifth in minutes played (35.05), seventh in free throw percentage (.785) and blocked shots (0.76) and ninth in field goal percentage (.482). In league-only affairs, she rated first in the MAC in defensive rebounding (7.06), second in rebounding (9.50), sixth in offensive rebounding (2.44), eighth in blocked shots (0.72) and in minutes played (34.50) and 10th in scoring (14.61) and free throw percentage (.769).
She is rated 20th in the NCAA in defensive rebounding (7.2), 28th in free throws made (135), 30th in double-doubles (14), 31st in free throw attempts (172), 33rd in rebounding (9.9) and 38th in rebounds (288).
