SCOUTING REPORT
The Citadel started the season winning 2-of-3 games against St. Bonaventure. The Bulldogs scored 32 runs over the first three games against the Bonnies while allowing 22 runs in the lone loss.
Most recently the Bulldogs defeated Charleston Southern 15-4 in non-conference action. The Bulldogs scored all 15 runs in the first three innings with seven coming in the third. Sawyer Reeves had the only multi-hit day for The Citadel while Phillips Daniels led the way in RBI with three. Fisher Paulsen got the win for the Bulldogs after throwing the first three innings. The Bulldogs would then throw six more arms that each saw an inning of action.
The Bulldogs are hitting .317 as a team and are led by Wells Sykes and Sawer Reeves' .462 batting average. Sykes, Reeves, and Thomas Rollauer are the leaders for hits with six each. Anthony Hauner had two home runs among his five hits with a double and a team-high nine RBI thrown in as well.

A GLANCE AT LAST WEEK
The Zips went 2-2 to open the season with wins coming against Illinois and Fordham.
After falling 3-1 to begin a doubleheader against Illinois, the Zips responded with a 5-4 victory in the 11th on a walk-off home run from Max Bowman in game two. This also represented the first win for coach Faulds leading the Zips.
Akron secured its second win with seven runs coming around in the top of the ninth to give the Blue and Gold a 14-7 victory.
The Zips concluded the week falling to No. 1 Wake Forest 14-3 on Sunday.

ONE TO REMEMBER
Head coach Bryan Faulds collected his first win leading the Akron Zips in the second game of a doubleheader against Illinois on February 14. Down 4-2 heading to the bottom of the seventh, Akron battled to force extra-innings when Max Bowman sent a walk-off home run in the 11th inning to give the Zips a 5-4 victory.

The Zips travel to Durham, N.C., to battle No. 12/14 Duke for a three-game series starting March 1.
