Zips Add Annie Watson to 2022 Recruiting Class

AKRON, Ohio- The Akron women's basketball head coach Melissa Jackson announced the addition of signee Annie Watson on Wednesday.

"We are excited to add Annie to our Zip family," added Jackson. "Annie is someone we have recruited for many years and are happy that an opportunity opened up for her. She is a worker and a high energy player. I believe Annie's best basketball is ahead of her and can't wait to see how she develops in our program. She will add great depth to a very strong post group."

Annie Watson | 6'0, Forward
Watson, a 6'0 forward from Akron, Ohio, is a four-year letterwinner from St. Vincent- St. Mary High School. During her senior season, Watson averaged 11 points, five rebounds, three steals, and two assists per game. She finished her high school career with 873 points. Watson was a 2022 All-Ohio Inland First Team selection, All- Ohio Special Mention, and a First Team WTCBCA selection. A three-time district qualifier, Watson was also an OHSAA State Finalist in 2019, as well as a Regional and District Champion.
