AKRON, Ohio - A dominant first-half performance propelled Mid-American Conference leader Robert Morris (10-2, 6-0 MAC) past the University of Akron women's lacrosse team on Saturday, April 17, 18-4, at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field.

The Zips (5-7, 2-5 MAC) garnered goals in the affair from freshman Chloe Hererra (Houston, Texas), redshirt freshman Alexis Kiefer (West Chicago, Ill.), freshman Camille Patton (Canton, Ohio) and redshirt sophomore Kaylee Riggins (Zionsville, Ind.).

The Zips also benefited from two assists from redshirt freshman Abby McMullen (Medina, Ohio) and one each courtesy of redshirt junior Anna Dennison (Fallston, Md.) and freshman Anjali Silverheels (Hamburg, N.Y.).

Redshirt freshmen GK Ashley Lapp (Missouri City, Texas) and Abby Lerch (Coraopolis, Pa.) made five saves apiece for Akron.

Akron is slated host rival Kent State on Tuesday, April 20 in a 7 p.m. showdown at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field.
