AKRON, Ohio– The 2018 Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic schedule is set and the Akron women's basketball team is slated to face off against Jackson State and UTEP in Las Vegas, announced by the tournament host on Thursday.

The Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic is scheduled to span over a course of two days, Dec. 20-21, in the City of Lights.

All games played in the Classic will take place at South Point Arena inside the South Point Hotel.

Akron will tip-off the Classic by squaring off with Jackson State on Dec. 20. The Tigers are members of the Southwestern Conference. In 2017-18, Jackson State notched an overall record of 15-13.

One day later, the Zips conclude play at the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic with a matchup against UTEP (University of Texas El Paso) on Dec. 21. As a member of Conference USA, the Miners made an appearance in the quarterfinal round of 2018 C-USA Tournament. UTEP concluded the 2017-18 season with a 17-14 overall record.

Season tickets for the 2018-19 campaign are on sale now with ticket packages starting at $55. VIP floor seating is again available for women's basketball games, priced at $100 for the season (including a $25 donation to the Z-Fund).

Akron faculty and staff may purchase season tickets for $45, while the Zips also offer a family plan allowing two adults and two children season tickets for $99. Additionally, fans may add on men's basketball general admission season seats for $30 and $50 for a men's family plan add-on.

Tickets can be purchased online anytime at GoZips.com/Tickets, or from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET on Mondays through Fridays by either calling 1-888-99-AKRON (25766) or visiting The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field (located at 375 E. Exchange Street, near Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the venue, at the corner of E. Exchange and S. Union streets).
