2016 Zips Football Media Guide
AKRON, Ohio— The 2016 University of Akron Football Media Guide is now available online.
The full-color online version features 198 pages of bios, records, statistics, and honors. Expanded by 40 pages from last year's version, the 2016 guide features two new sections– Honors & Awards and Postseason History.
The Akron Zips, under the guidance of fifth-year head coach Terry Bowden, open the 2016 season against VMI on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 6:30 p.m. at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field.
Coach Bowden and senior CB DeAndre Scott (Frederick, Md.) and junior QB Thomas Woodson (Monroeville, Pa.) will participate in MAC Media Day on Thursday, July 28. Follow all the action on the Zips' Twitter account @ZipsFB. The event will be broadcast live on ESPN3 with the Zips' interviews to air at 1:07 p.m. ET.
Season ticket plans—which include a ticket to all six home games as well as a parking pass—start at only $60 each. Renewals (for current season ticket holders) and new seats are now available for purchase by calling 1-888-99-AKRON (25766) or visiting The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field (located at 375 E. Exchange Street, near Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the venue, at the corner of E. Exchange and S. Union streets) during business hours (Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
Single-game tickets are on sale now.
All-Access 10 Packs, which contain 10 undated vouchers, are available for $100 and can be used for game tickets for any of the ticketed sports.
The Alumni All-Sport Plan, which has season tickets for all six ticketed sports [football, men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, men's basketball, and women's basketball] as well as a $20 donation to the Z-Fund, is available for $175.
