Women's Basketball Launches Pink Jersey Auction to Benefit the Kay Yow Fund

Bid on a Zips Basketball Pink Jersey
AKRON, Ohio -- The University of Akron women's basketball team is offering fans the chance to own an authentic game-worn jersey throughout the month of February.
The Zips' pink jerseys have been placed up for auction to raise money for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund in support of breast cancer research. The jerseys have been worn by the team for the last three seasons as part of Akron's annual Play 4Kay game, including last weekend in a 79-66 victory over Western Michigan.
Fans can visit GoZips.com/Play4KayJersey to place a bid on their favorite jersey. Bidding starts at $50, and the auction continues through Friday, Feb. 28. Once the auction is closed, the highest bidder for each jersey will be contacted by the Zips Athletics department, and the jersey will be shipped directly to the winner.
All proceeds will benefit the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Individual donations to the cause can also be made by clicking here.
