AKRON, Ohio – The Zips football team held a full pads mini-scrimmage at InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field on Wednesday afternoon, its 14th practice of preseason training camp. The session featured a variety of situational sequences.
First-year head coach Terry Bowden visited with GoZips.com afterward.
The squad is scheduled to return to the field on Thursday afternoon.
UA gets the season underway versus Central Florida on Thursday, Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. ET at InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field. The opener will be carried by ESPN3.
Zips Notebook: UA Athletics will hold a Kickoff Luncheon on Aug. 24 at noon and "Hoppy Hour", a pre-game professional networking event prior to the season opener on Aug. 30 ... to reserve a spot at either event, fans need to contact the ticket office at 1-888-99-AKRON (25766).
