AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron football squad practiced in full pads for three hours on Tuesday morning at InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field.

Today was the 13th of 15 practices allowed by the NCAA leading up to the team's annual Spring Game presented by Penn Station (located at 270 E. Exchange Street in Akron). The game will be played on Saturday, April 21 at 3 p.m. ET at InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field.
Akron opens the 2012 regular season on Thursday, Aug. 30 at home versus UCF.
Zips Notebook: The Zips practiced outdoors for the first time since late March, the first week of its spring training schedule ... the program will play host to its third-annual Youth Clinic at 1 p.m. ET on April 21 prior to the Spring Game inside InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field ... the Akron-IMG Sports Network football broadcast team of Steve French (play-by-play), Brad Detwiler (color) and Joe Dunn (sideline) will call the Spring Game action live locally on network flagship SportsRadio 1350 AM (WARF).
