AKRON, Ohio – Over 400 people filled The University of Akron's Stile Athletics Field House on Saturday morning to listen to and visit with the "First Family of College Football" at "Breakfast with the Bowdens". The exclusive interactive event was for UA football season ticketholders only.
Legendary former Florida State head coach Bobby Bowden, father to new Zips head coach Terry Bowden, was the featured speaker. Terry's brothers, Jeff, also a member of the Zips coaching staff, and Tommy, former head coach at Tulane and Clemson, also spoke and participated in discussion about their careers in college football and growing up as a Bowden.
Director of Athletics Tom Wistrcill also spoke and presented The Bowdens with "Fear the Dadgum! Roo" t-shirts that recently hit the shelves in the team shop and bookstore on campus, and are available via the online team shop.
Joe Dunn, analyst on the Akron-IMG Sports Network, moderated the program which included a question and answer session with the audience. Click the video link below to enjoy the sights and sounds of the morning.

The UA football squad has completed its fourth week of spring camp and will hold its annual Spring Game inside InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field on April 21 at 3 p.m. The program will play host to its third-annual Youth Clinic at 1 p.m. that day.
The Zips open the 2012 regular season on Thursday, Aug. 30 at home versus UCF.
