AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron football team dressed in full pads on Tuesday for its fourth practice of the spring inside Stile Athletics Field House. The two hour and 30 minute workout featured the most extensive segment of 11-on-11 drills thus far.

Today was the fourth of 15 practices leading up to the annual Spring Game presented by Penn Station on East Exchange Street near campus on Saturday, April 21 at 3 p.m. ET at InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field. The squad will take to the field on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays leading up to that event.
Akron opens the 2012 regular season on Thursday, Aug. 30 at home versus UCF.
Zips Notebook: Rising redshirt freshman Zach D'Orazio, who worked out with the quarterbacks during the first three practices of camp and was listed at that position in 2011, drilled exclusively with the wide receivers today ... Steve French, the radio "Voice of the Zips", took in his first practice of the spring ... the April 21 Spring Game will air live locally on Akron-IMG Sports Network flagship SportsRadio 1350 AM (WARF).
